Aamir Khan loves to transform into every character he plays. Whether it was the famous six pack abs for Ghajini, gaining extra kilos for 'Dangal' and now a lean body along with nose piercing for his role in 'Thugs of Hindostan'

Mr Perfectionist gives it all for every role. But when media quizzed him at 'Secret Superstar' promotions in Delhi about his drastic makeover specially when he looked like an ageing father of four girls for his last release, Dangal...Aamir Khan agreed that he too gets scared about shape shifting for such roles. The actor said, "I am scared to play such roles, I won’t deny it When I heard the story of Dangal I loved it and I wanted to do it. But then I thought I have just done 'Dhoom 3' and 'PK' and have this awesome fit body. I am looking great. Main tana tan dikh raha hun iss waqt. If I do Dangal, I will look old, gain weight, what if I lose my fans. "

He further revealed that he initially wanted the makers to wait for another 10 years for him. Aamir continued, "Mahavir in the film is shown 55 year old and I am 52 in real life.  Mahavir Singh Phogat and me are almost same age, there is not much of a difference. So people figured out my real age in that film while I want them to believe I am still 30. But then I loved the story. So I told Nitish Tiwari (director) and Siddharth Roy Kapur (producer) that I love the script but can we do it 10 years later, when I turn older. They wanted me to do the film so they even agreed. But the script stayed in my head. Then I heard the story again and again over few months. So I decided to overcome my fears for the love of the story and then as a creative person I took the leap. I told myself ‘All izz Well’ and decided to go ahead."

'Dangal' was a film about gender equality. Based on the life of wrestler Mahavir Singh Phoghat who trained his daughter as wrestler and made his country proud. Once again the actor is telling the tale about girl empowerment with his reel daughter Zaira Wasim in the lead in 'Secret Superstar' and is hoping for the same love as his last release got.

Aamir Khan said, "I believe who people who loved 'Dangal' would probably love 'Secret Superstar' too. I am hoping it would connect with the youth of our country. I am hoping to connect with parents and wish to see the film has a deep impact on everyone who watches the film."
