Major Update of India v/s Bangladesh 3rd ODI.
India has won the match by 77 runs saving themselves from the embarrassment of a humiliating whitewash. Bangladesh truly outwitted India in the first two encounters, but the 2011 WC champions came to their own in the third match. It was a clinical performance by India and the team can finally go for a well deserved break. Bangladesh will soon square off with mighty South Africa.
The biggest takeaway from the series is that the Bangla Tigers can no longer be taken for granted. They have upped their game a few notches. But it will be interesting to see if they can emulate such performance in the future.
Here's how the 3rd ODI unfolded.
LIVE UPDATES
It's all over! Rayadu claims the last wicket. Bangladesh is all out for 240. They chased well, but none of their batsman managed to capitalise on the strong start. In the end, India managed to shake off their rustiness to get one win in their kitty. Suresh Raina was the unlikely star in the bowling department getting rid of 3 wickets. Kulkarni and Ashwin got couple of wickets apiece.
Ninth down now. Rubel Hossain gone for 2, mistiming a shot to long on. Raina gets his third scalp. BAN-224/9 after 44.
Nasir Hossain is dismissed. Ashwin. He was virtually the last danger guy holding fort for the hosts. Soon it may be all over for Bangladesh but India can hardly take any happy memories from this match having already conceded the series. BAN- 221/8 after 41.
Mashrafe Mortaza departs for duck. Bangladesh is looking to up the ante in the power play, but they have simply lost too many wickets. Nasir Hossain is the last hope for the hosts currently not out on 28 of 26 balls. BAN-210/7 after 37.
We're really depressed if we feel elated on winning a match from Bangladesh

OUT! This has been essentially the story of the night. Whenever Bangladesh has looked ominous, India has strike back. Now Binny gets rid of Sabbir, who played a busy hand of 43 in just 38 balls. India still though is not out of woods. One good partnership is wll what is needed to get the match in even balance. BAN- 198/6 after 33.4 overs
So finally both the teams playing the way they are known for #INDvBAN

Bangladesh may have lost a flurry of wickets but they are continuing to score runs at a very competitive pace. Current partnership between Sabbir and Nasir is 40 just of 34 balls. BAN-188/5 after 32 overs.

Increasingly chances of a whitewash looking bleak for Bangladesh. Now Shakib Ul Hasan has been dismissed after playing a breezy knock of 20 out of 21 balls. Dhawal Kulkarni takes a brilliant running catch after Shakib top edged a slog sweep. Bangladesh is now reeling at 154/5 after 27 overs. They desparately need a partnership to stay in the hunt.
OUT! Litton Das is now dismissed. Missed a straight delivery from Axar Patel and is trapped plumb. Bangladesh seems to be losing the plot here. Litton out for 34. Bangladesh 121/4 after 23 overs.
OUT! Mushfiqur Rahim has been dismissed by Suresh Raina. Like Sarkar, Rahim was looking dangerous. But part time bowler Raina has managed to do the work for India. Credit though must go to Dhoni for taking a sharp catch behind the wicket. Rahim departs for 24 from 30 balls. Shakib is the new batsman. Bangladesh needs one of the two batters to carry on till the 40th over atleast. A big partnership is the need of the hour. Indian spinners have managed to slow the flow of runs by operating in tight channels. Even Axar Patel is bowling well! BAN- 113/3 after 20
After surviving the jolt of Sarkar's wicket, Bangladesh is well on course to give India a run for their money in the third ODI too. Mushfiqur has jioned Litton in the middle and is scoring runs in a very even pace. They are particularly trying to take on Ravi Ashwin, who is the backbone of Indian bowling. In just 4 overs, Ashwin has conceded 22. BAN-96/2 after 15.
Litton das 22 (32)
Mushfiqur Rahim 18 (16)
OUT! Soumya Sarkar who was threatening to take the game away from India has been dismissed. Foxed by Kulkarni's slower, Sarkar holds out to Ashwin at mid-on. Ban- 62/2 after 9.2
Tamim Iqbal is lbw!
That's the start India wanted. Early blow to the hosts, though not in the most convincing manner. Dhawal Kulkarni bowls a good lenght delivery outside off stump. It is swinging and Iqbal is caught lbw. Great start for the visitors! Bangladesh are 8-1.
Tamim Iqbal lbw b Kulkarni 5 (8)
Bangladesh begin run chase.
Tamim and Sarkar open for Bangladesh, chasing a huge total. Interstingly, Stuart Binny begins the Indian proceedings.
That's the end of 50 overs!
With India scoring 300+ @msdhoni has left Punter behind as he become captain under whom team scored 300+ score on 39th occasion. #INDvBAN

Put to bat first, India scored a humongous total of 317-6. Thanks to half centuries from Dhawan and Dhoni and vital contributions from Rayudu and Rohit Sharma. Mortaza was the pick of the bowlers today wih three wickets. Will Dhoni and Co. be able to defend this total? Or will Bangla tigers chase this down and whitewash the Indians?
Raina is BOWLED!
Mustafizur strikes again! The teenager cleans up Raina. But India have already crossed the 300 mark. India are 301-6.
S Raina b Mustafizur Rahman 38 (21)
Raina on fire!
The left-handed batsman is having no second thoughts on attacking the opponents. He is on 36 of just 18 balls. The latest over producing 14 runs. Stuart Binny also trying to play aggressive alond side him. India 298-5 in 48 overs.
MS Dhoni is OUT!
Great innings by the captain. India still have a chance to post a 300+ total. He is fooled by a slower delivery and tries to check his shot. It goes up in the air and Mustafizur takes a superb catch at long on. Suresh Raina is looking to attack now. Stuart Binny is the new man in. India are 268-5.
MS Dhoni c Mustafizur Rahman b Mashrafe Mortaza 69 (77)
Rayudu is OUT!
Bangladesh might have just stolen a wicket here. Rayudu goes well outside the off-stup looking to hit it over the keeper. But instead it appears to hit his pad and caught by the keeper! A huge appeal by the bowler and given out. Rayudu is utterly disappointed with that decesion, but he has to go. He didn't seem to have a glove or bat on it! India are 252-4.
A Rayudu c Litton Das b Mashrafe Mortaza 44 (49)
Dhoni shows his love for the 50 over format with a 50. #Sorry #INDvBAN
— Gaurav Sethi (@BoredCricket) June 24, 2015
The 200 is up for India. With 35 overs gone, India have posted 200 on the board and still have a long way to go. This could be the start of a big total. Both Dhoni 41(52) and Rayudu 23(27) are looking strong and steady.
At the end of 31 overs, India are 172-3. The Indians losing wickets at regular intervals. Whenever a partnership begins to build, a breakthrough is provided for Bangladesh. Dhawan being the latest example. He was going well on 75 but was unluck by a delightful catch by Hossain. Dhoni 30(37) and Rayudu 8(12) on the crease now.
Shikhar Dhawan is OUT!
again the break in partnership. wenevr the partnership began one down. @msdhoni still there. So why to play big shot now. #INDvBAN
— Cricket CasanovaBuzz (@cricketsourabh) June 24, 2015
Agian, a partnership breaker. Bangladesh somehow finding a way to break partnerships eah time it builds. The latest victim to be Dhawan. He was on fire with a score of 75, but Nasir Hossain takes a stunner over midwicket to dismiss him. Unlucky for Dhawan who was in such good form. India 158-3.
S Dhawan c Nasir Hossain b Mashrafe Mortaza 75 (73)
After 25 overs, India are 145-2. Post his 50, Dhawan still looks in good knick. He is batting on 65(66). Captain Dhoni has got off to a good start, 22(21). The pair now looking for some big overs. The previous two overs conceding 9 runs each.
Good to see MS Dhoni start positively. Has picked up well after the maiden from Shakib Al Hasan #INDvBAN
— Nishad Pai Vaidya (@nishad_45) June 24, 2015
Virat Kohli is BOWLED!
And just as anoher partnership was looking to build, Bangladesh strike again. This time Shakib Al Hasan strikes. He bowls a slower ball which Kohli misreads completely, offering a slog swep and the ball hits the middle stump. Skipper MS Dhoni walks out to the crease, India 114-2.
V Kohli b Shakib Al Hasan 25 (35)
Half century for Shikhar Dhawan!
He brings it in style! Back-to-back fours for Dhawan bring up his ffity. That was a good over for India, 14 runs of it. The newly picked Arafat Sunny proving to be expensive. That also brings the 100 up for India. India are 111-1 after 18 overs. Dhawan 53(50) and Kohli 24(29).
Another classic inning by Dhawan, this man is in sensational form since World Cup 2015,Good going Gabbar :) #INDvBAN
— Abhi. (@imAbhijeet0803) June 24, 2015
Catch missed!
A lifeline for Shikhar Dhawan. Nasir Hossain bowls to Dhawan who plays a shot. He is just saved as the ball falls short. Shikhar Dhawan looking strong on 41(40) with Kohli alonside him on 14(22). After 15 overs, India are 89-1.
Dropped! How costly that'd be? #INDvBAN #BANvIND
— Ridwan Tanvir (@ridwantanvir) June 24, 2015
After the end of 11 overs, India are 68-1. Rohit Sharma the latest victim of Mustafizur. Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan will now look to build a partnership. Dhawan who looks a bit settled, is 28(28) and the new man Kohli is 7(11).
Rohit Sharma is OUT!
And just as things were going right for the Indians, Mustafizur Rahman strikes for Bangladesh. Rohit Sharma who looking set, is caught behind. Rahman has become a sort of partnership breaker and a nightmare for Indian batsman. Virat Kohli walks out to the pitch now. India 40-1.
R Sharma c Litton Das b Mustafizur Rahman 29 (29)
That's the third time Mustafizur has taken Rohit's wicket in the series. #INDvBAN
— Rajasthan Royals (@rajasthanroyals) June 24, 2015
At the end of 5 overs, India are 26/0. Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan taking the side to a steady start. Rohit Sharma batting on 18 (21) and Shikhar Dhawan on 6 (9). Spin being introduced now with Arafat Sunny into the attack. A couple of instances of mis-communication from the openers early on which could have led to a run out.
Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan open for India. Mustafizur Rahman to begin the proceedings. The youngster is on fire in this tournament, already bagging 11 wickets of his first two games. At the end of first over, India are 3-0.
Team India will be playing for pride today in the 3rd ODI as they look to avoid a whitewash vs @BCBtigers. #INDvBAN
