The Indian Farmers Fertilisers Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) incurred a loss of Rs950 crore in the previous financial year due to import of fertilisers, a company official said today.
IFFCO incurred a loss of Rs 950 crore due to import of 30 lakh tonne DAP fertilisers from other countries, IFFCO marketing director Arvinda Roy said after inaugurating the IFFCO office here.
No other Indian company has taken such steps for farmers, Roy said.
IFFCO is a National cooperative society with 40,000 members including cooperative societies and others around the country, besides having every state's cooperative society as member, he added.
