Review: Komal becomes Superkomal in 'Vare Vaah'

Film Vare Vaah (Kannada)
Director: Vijayalakshmi Singh
CAST Komal, Bhavana Rao, Mayuri

When Vijayalakshmi Singh launched this film, stating that it was inspired by the Mel Gibson-Helen Hunt starrer What Women Want, we weren’t sure if the lead actor, Komal, would be able to carry it off.

However, the film takes an interesting turn with the director even managing to send out a little message.

Vare Vaah is about Adi (Komal), who is quite hen-pecked, be it taking orders from his mother, grandmother and even his lady boss. He also gets dumped by his girlfriend. It is only when he is married off to Roopa (Bhavana) against his wishes that his life changes. Adi gets the power to listen to women’s thoughts. The rest of the film shows how simpleton Adi turns into a superhero.

Komal is entertaining and manages to carry the film on his shoulders. The many women in the film have bit roles, but each of them impresses, be it Bhavana as the wife, Mayuri as the boss, or Parvathy as the girlfriend.
