Reel life woes for Priyanka Saini

While there is just a three years difference between TV actors Naveen Saini and his wife Priyanka Saini, there is a generation gap in their reel lives.

Both Naveen and Priyanaka are presently doing cameo roles in two different shows. But while Naveen bragged the role of a cop investigating the kidnap of the lead female; what came Priyanka’s way was the role of a 45-year-old widow and a mother of the female lead.

“It doesn’t really affect me much if I am to play an older role. I played a 45-year-old when I was actually just 24,” says Naveen.
Ask how different it would have been if she and hubby Naveen were to play a similar character in a common show, she explodes in mirth. “I wouldn’t do it ever; what if I was asked to play Naveen’s mom?” 

Priyanka took a year long break and this is her first assignment post marriage. Indeed, being called maa by a co-actor of almost the same age is putting her ill at ease. “I have put on weight in the last one year while Perhaps that’s the reason I’m inviting such roles,” she says coyly. But she is making sure that she wards off such roles in the future by attempting to get  back into shape.
