Chennai Super Kings skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni delayed his travel to Ranchi till all his teammates left and reached their homes safely.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Chennai Super Kings skipper and former Indian captain, is one of the most loved personalities in India on and off the field. The 39-year old, considered as one of the calmest personalities on the field no matter what the situation is, has won the hearts of millions off the field too with his sensitive attitude and empathetic behaviors with kids, senior citizens, his fans whenever they get the chance to meet the man himself.

On Thursday, Dhoni showed another instance of his personality as he decided to delay his travel back to his hometown Ranchi after the suspension of the IPL as he wanted to wait for everyone in the Chennai Super Kings to leave first and then only he would leave Delhi, where the team was based in the past week-10 days.

This took place recently in the 2021 edition of the IPL. Dhoni was going back to the dressing room after his side's win against the Kolkata Knight Riders and one of the members of the CSK's support staff standing on the stairs gave a salute to Dhoni and in reply Dhoni also saluted him back. The photo went viral and brought goosebumps to every Indian watching.

This took place in the 2019 season of the IPL when the security dog at one of the games along with his master, were in awe of MS Dhoni. the dog gave a special greeting with both his leg spread on the ground together, while the master gave him a salute simultaneously.

This is one of the famous images showing true nature of MS Dhoni. The incident took place in 2015 when South Africa were on a rampage as they scored 438 runs against India at the Wankhede Stadium and one of the stars for the Proteas in the innings was Faf du Pessis, who scored 133 runs in that innings. However, due to heat and humidity and spending a long time in the same, du Plessis was going through frequent cramps and during one such cramp, he hit a six and was on the haunches soon after. 

Till the SA physio arrived, Dhoni took the ous on him to help relieve some pain of the South Africa batsman by pressing on his foot towards his knees, while he laid flat on the ground.

This was one of the most adorable moments. An old lady with a placard "I am here only for Dhoni" caught the cameraman's eye, which led him letting the actually meet the Chennai Super Kings skipper during one of the games in the 2019 IPL. They clicked for a picture together and Dhoni gifted her aged fan a signed CSK jersey.

Not once, or twice, it has happened umpteen times when fans have raided the pitch in the middle of an ongoing cricket match, to touch MS Dhoni's feet or shake hands with him. It happened in Dhoni's last game as India's captain in the ODIs, it has happened a few times in the IPL as well.
