Jos Buttler prolific English batter who is currently playing for Rajasthan Royals in IPL is known for his big strokemaking. Buttler is almost a force of nature when he gets going, unleashing his power to hit balls freely both straight down the ground and square off wicket.

But he is also known for taking starts when the bowler is about to deliver the ball. Make no mistake, Buttler is not the only guy in world cricket who does that. Infact it is ridiculously common considering the rules clearly mention the possible pitfall from it. But players still do it with a tacit assumption that bowlers wouldn't be Mankading them considering the taboo associated with it.

But, Jos Buttler was unlucky to be dismissed not once, but twice by Mankading. Call it bad luck, or just bowlers'across the world keeping a track of his movement, literally, very rarely would you find a player getting run-out in such a fashion two times within five years.

At Edgbaston, in June 2014, Sachithra Senanayake got Jos Buttler Mankaded after giving him two warnings. And now history has repeated itself as tragedy, when Buttler playing for his IPL team Rajasthan Royals got Mankaded by KXIP captain Ravichandran Ashwin.

However, unlike last time, Buttler wasn't warned by Ashwin and he had barely stepped forward when Ashwin managed to get him run-out at the non-striker's end.

He was given a warning twice but didn't mend his way, so finally Sri Lanka dislodged the bail, said Angelo Mathews who was the then skipper of Sri Lanka.

At that time, Sri Lankan cricketers were similarly criticised, like R Ashwin is facing now. However, Matthews stood his ground saying Buttler had adopted similar tactics in previous match too where he slammed a ton.

Sri Lanka incidentally, narrowly won the series 3-2 after winning the decider, where Buttler was Mankaded.

Once Senanayake had whipped the bail off, umpire Michael Goff checked with Angelo Mathews if he is okay with the appeal. When Mathews replied in the affirmative, Buttler had to leave. Then English skipper Alastair Cook had slammed the Sri Lankan action and saif it's a 'poor act'. Other English internationals too echoed similar sentiments.

Playing Rajasthan Royals' first match of IPL 12, Buttler looked in rich vein of form before getting Mankaded by Ashwin. Footage from the incident has lead to huge argument on social media, with majority opining that Buttler wasn't stealing a run, and Ashwin used a technicality to get him run-out.
