England successfully chased down 67 runs from the daunting 399 target set before them. Ben Duckett and Zak Crawley displayed their usual flair and skill, fearlessly executing their shots. Ravichandran Ashwin was summoned to dismantle their partnership, and he achieved this feat with the assistance of a brilliant catch by Bharat, resulting in Duckett's dismissal. Rehan Ahmed dutifully fulfilled his role as the night watchman, and he will join Crawley on the field, propelling England towards a well-deserved victory and a commanding 2-0 lead.

WICKET! Ashwin dismisses Duckett. As Duckett leans in for a defensive shot, an inside edge onto the pads causes the ball to pop up in the air. Bharat, displaying remarkable agility, dives to secure the catch.

FOUR! Duckett persistently launches an assault on Kuldeep. He executes a magnificent slog sweep on a full delivery, aiming towards deep square leg. Despite the presence of a fielder in that position, this shot manages to elude him.

Bumrah continues his spell as Duckett gracefully rises on his toes, executing a powerful punch to send the good-length delivery racing through the covers for a magnificent boundary.

Mukesh Kumar takes the new ball. What a shot! Duckett strikes the ball with immense power, despite its limited width, and manages to send it straight to the boundary. Another boundary! This time, he elegantly lifts the ball over the cover region.

Hartley again. Gill slaps a half volley on the on side but cannot place it in the gap. Just one run from that shot. Hartley bowls a No Ball which gets another run for India.

Dinesh Karthik and Eoin Morgan are near the deck. Morgan says that it is a bit overcast and there is a bit of moisture on this surface, which helped James Anderson extract the seam movement on Day 2. Adds that he expects more of the same this morning. Karthik says that the cracks have expanded and it is only going to get worse. Feels that the dismissal of Ben Stokes was alarming and was a sign that the pitch has started to play tricks. Morgan ends by saying that the conditions will play a bigger role on Day 3 than they did on the first two days.

At the age of 41 years and 187 days, Anderson made history in the oldest format. He has shattered a 72-year record.
