7th pay commission: With arrival of 2019 there are many good news that are waiting for the employees of various state government. While there has been a massive change in leave application for 50 lakh central government employees, many state employees will finally witness of the much-awaited implementation of 7th pay matrix

Beginning with the good news for nearly one crore employees and pensioners of the central and state government. These employees may soon get three per cent dearness allowance from January 1, 2019, Praygraj based AG Office Brotherhood and ex-Assistant Secretary-General of All India Audit and Accounts Association, Harishankar Tiwari told Zeebiz Online on Sunday.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced that the government employees of the state will get DA at 125 per cent of their basic pay from this month, while assuring the employees of clearing all the dues by January.

The decision to pay DA at 125 per cent from January was taken by the West Bengal government in June 2018, a leader of the West Bengal State Coordination Committee informed PTI.

According to Business Standard report, Centre has decided to introduce a new leave ethic - all permanent central government employees will now have to take at least 20 days of earned leave every year. 

The public sector banks (PSBs) had taken the lead on this front. Last October, several PSBs started sending their employees on a block of ten days leave, taking many by surprise. Now all other central government employees, too, will have to follow suit.

According to Railways' new rules, the children of Railway staff can get the Railway pass upto the age of 33 years. Earlier, it was till the age of 21 years.

The Maharashtra government announced its plan to implement the salary hike for its 20 lakh employees as per the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission, a move which will cost the state exchequer a sum of Rs 52,000 crore.

The new pay scale came into effect from January 1, 2019 and the arrears will be paid from January 1, 2016, when the commission came into existence.
