Learning disability students can use calculators for HSC

Students with learning disability who appear for this year's HSC exams, starting from February 21, will be permitted the use of calculators for certain subjects.

MUMBAI: Students with learning disability who appear for this year's Higher Secondary Examinations, starting from February 21, will be permitted the use of calculators for certain subjects.

Adhering to the orders of the Bombay High Court, students with learning disability like dyslexia will be permitted the use of calculators for certain subjects but will not be allowed to use the calculators which are in mobile phones, a statement from the state's Board for Higher Secondary Education said on Friday.

The board also stated that the exams for the paper of Information Technology will be held online.

The examinations for students of three faculties will be held in the cities of Pune, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Mumbai, Kolhapur, Amravati, Nasik and Latur with 10,41,510 students appearing for them this year, the statesment said.
