Following his public appearance at SXSW earlier this month, former US security contractor Edward Snowden appeared in another one of his "video link" address at the recent TED event in Vancouver. However, in a rather unique turn of events, this time he came as a robot!
In a technology that would make Sheldon Cooper very happy, Snowden was welcomed on stage in a mobile robotic satellite robot, while actually projecting his speech from an undisclosed location somewhere in Russia where he is currently living in exile. Snowden, who worked for the NSA, had earlier last year leaked startling revelations about the illegal spying operations of the US security agency.
During the talk, Snowden revealed that some the biggest revelations from his NSA leaks were yet to come.
