As Neha Mehta and Gurucharan Singh quit 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah', we take a look at five actors who were previously replaced on the show
One of the longes-running shows on Television 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah', has also got many new faces over the years, even in the lead characters. While Daya ben was never replaced by the makers, many others were.
Currently, reports are abuss that 'Anjali Mehta', played by Neha Mehta, and 'Roshan Singh Sodhi', played by Gurucharan Singh, will be replaced in the show. Many portals have confirmed that the two lead actors have made an exit from the show.
While reports stated that Gurucharan Singh is quitting the show because of family issues, Neha simply appears to have found something better. It is being reported that she has bagged a new show and thus did not shoot for TMKOC since the lockdown period.
1. 'Tapu' - Bhavya Gandhi, now Raj Anadkat

Bhavya Gandhi had literally grown up with 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah'. He worked on the show for nearly a decade (from 2008-2017), before being replaced by Raj Anadkat in 2017 itself. Tapu is the only son of the lead characters Daya and Jethalal.
2. 'Sonu' - Jheel Mehta, Nidhi Bhanushali, Palak Sindhwani

'Sonu' Atmaram Bhide was a character which was constantly replaced. Jheel Mehta left the show in 2012, and was replaced by Nidhi Bhanushali, who stayed with the crew till 2019. Right now, Palak Sindhwani plays the role of Master Bhide and Madhavi's daughter. She is the only female member in the 'Tapu sena'.
3. Dr. Hathi - Nirmal Soni, Kavi Kumar Azad, Nirmal Soni

Nirmal Soni started out as Dr. Hansraj Hathi and left the show in 2009. Kavi Kumar Azad stepped in his shoes from 2009, but his untimely demise in 2018 forced Soni to come back on the show. He is currently part of the show. Like mentioned, Dr. Hathi is a doctor by profession and has only one hobby - he loves to eat. Dr. Hathi has a wife in Komal and son in Goli.
4. 'Roshan Singh Sodhi' - Gurucharan Singh, Laad Singh Maan, Gurucharan Singh, Balvinder Singh Suri

Gurucharan Singh is best known for his role as 'Roshan Singh Sodhi'. He owns a garage, has a temper, loves to party, and immensely loves his wife. Singh quit for a year in 2013, after which Laad Maan Singh replaced him. Gurucharan was back on the show in 2014, and he has now quit the show. News reports are abuzz that Balvinder Singh Suri would replace the actor and he has also started shooting for the show.
5. 'Roshan Kaur Sodhi' - Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal, Dilkhush Reporter, Jennifer Mistry

Jennifer Mistry, too, had quit the show in 2013, and was replaced by Dilkhush Reporter, who played the role of Roshan's wife till 2016. Mistry came back in 2016 and still is a part of the show.
