Will help kids express themselves
I will be conducting Diwali scrap activity workshops. It is a great way to preserve our family stories and memories. The added benefit is that you express yourself creatively. Making scrap book pages that effectively display your favourite photographs is fun. Kreating Keepsakes Design Studio is a specialty studio for scrap booking making. The classes are for age groups between 4 to 16 years. Students will be taught making scrap book, collage, journal covers, door hangers, photo frames and gift bags.

Will go in for a swanky mobile
Diwali is my favourite festival. I will certainly buy some casual wear. Lots of new electronic items have flooded the market and I plan to buy the latest mobile phone. Depending on the balance amount, I will think of buying gift items accordingly. However I will surely buy something for everyone at home and I will be meeting my old friends. I’m going to savour some delicacies that are prepared during this festival, specially the sweets. —Malay Shah

Fireworks a must for children
I have shifted into a new apartment and I have to buy furniture and need to decorate the interiors. I plan to buy gold ornaments for myself. My husband runs a business, so he has also buy gifts for his office staff. This year, we plan to give some daily utility items to the workers, on the festive occasion. I'm also going to buy crackers for my children. I don't think there is need to abstain from purchasing crackers, since
festive celebrations come once in a year.

Weekend is best time to buy
I feel this is the right time to avail of the best bargains, since all retailers have something to offer. Firstly, I'm planning to buy a plasma television. As per tradition, this Diwali we will purchase new clothes for all family members. Then I'm going to buy household items too. After this I plan to buy gifts for family and friends. Over the weekend and during the coming week, I will visit malls and scour for good discounts. With the recession abating, people will shop till they drop.

Malls are offering good deals
I’m looking forward to Diwali shopping. This is one season, when I can buy lots of stuff. I’m certainly looking forward to splurging this Diwali. We have almost come out of the economic slowdown. Even malls and shopping arcades have many offers going on. Hence I’m interested in buying apparel and accessories as there are discounts offered everywhere. I don’t think it’s the right time for buying jewellery, so I will not go in for purchase of any ornaments for myself.   —Shushil Thakur
