Launched in January, 2007 after years of rumours and speculation. The first generation iPhone featured quad-band GSM cellular connectivity with GPRS and EDGE support for data transfer. The model was discontinued on July 15, 2008 after selling around 6.1 million devices worldwide.

This was a successor of iPhone first generation and was launched on June, 2008. In comparison to the its predecessor it looked same but had major changes in hardware such as GPS, 3G data and tri-band UMTS/HSDPA. 

Apple released the iPhone 3G across 22 countries in two storage options, 8GB and 16GB.

With edge-to-edge display screens and no home buttons, iPhone X introduced at the starting price of $999 for the 64GB version. The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus also revealed during the 10th Apple anniversary. The devices are more or less resemble to iPhone 7, however, the new offerings come with a glass back for wireless charging, which Apple claims is the most durable glass ever in a smartphone.
