Complete coverage: Cabinet reshuffle

Cabinet headed by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will take place at the Rashtrapati Bhavan at 11.30 am.

According to various TV reports, following are the confirmed portfolio: 

Ashwani Kumar is likely to be the Law Minister.

Salman Khurshid is all set to be the next Minister for External Affairs.

Deepa Das Munshi to get Ministry of Culture.

Veerappa Moily to get Petroleum Ministry

Jyotiraditya Scindia to get corporate affairs, and a move up to minister of state with independent charge.

Shashi Tharoor will be as Minister of State, for what is still not known.

President Pranab Mukhejee and PM Manmohan Singh greets the assemblage of ministers just as the reshuffle announcement is set to begin.

Following are the ministers to be sworn-in today:

K Rehman Khan, Dinsha Patel, Ajay Maken, Pallam Raju, Ashwani Kumar, Harish Rawat and Chandresh Kumari

Chiranjeevi and Manish Tewari to be sworn-in as Ministers of State (Independent charge)

13 Ministers of State including Shashi Tharoor, Tariq Anwar, K Suresh, K Jayasuyraprakash Reddy, A H Khan Chowdhry and Adhir Ranjan Chowdhry are to be sworn-in.

K Rehman Khan sworn in as Cabinet Minister by President Pranab Mukherjee

Dinsha Patel becomes a cabinet minister, he is a five-time member from the Gujarat Assembly. 

Ajay Maken administered the oath of office and secrecy.

MoS Defence M Pallam Raju sworn in as Cabinet Minister. He will get charge of the Ministry for Human Resource Development.

Ashwani Kumar sworn in.

Minister of State, Independent charge, Manish Tiwari sworn in.

Chandresh Kumari  Katoch sworn in. She is  representing Rajasthan and is from Himachan Pradesh. Likely to get Social Justice.

Harish Rawat sworn-in as cabinet minister

Telugu superstar K Chiranjeevi sworn in.

The big comeback — Shashi Tharoor is sworn in. He is likely to be MoS HRD.

NCP's Tariq Anwar is sworn in, he will now replace NCP's Agatha Sangma .

Ranee Narah sworn in as a Minister of State.

Deepa Dasmunshi sworn in; she is likely to be MoS Culture

Ninong Ering is sworn in. He represents Arunachal Pradesh and was a deputy speaker of the AP Assembly.

Ranee Narah sworn in as a Minister of State.

Lalchand Kataria is sworn in.

  P Balaram Naik is sworn in. He represents the Mehboobabad constituency.

Of the seven new ministers sworn in with cabinet rank, only two are new faces.

The rest, including Ajay Maken and MM Pallam Raju, have been elevated from minister of state rank.

  With Lalchand Kataria, the swearing-in ceremony ends.

Probably this is the last reshuffle, says Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

The PM also said that he wanted Rahul Gandhi in Government, but he wants to strengthen party.

He rules out early elections.

A recap of today's cabinet reshuffle

Five Ministers of State -- Dinsha Patel, M M Pallam Raju, Harish Rawat, Ajay Maken and Ashwani Kumar -- were promoted to Cabinet rank.

Congress spokesperson Manish Tewari and actor-turned- politician Chiranjeevi were brought in as Ministers of State with independent charge, while Shashi Tharoor made a comeback as Minister of State after over two years.

12 new Ministers of State were sworn-in. They are Tariq Anwar (Maharashtra), K Suresh (Kerala), AH Khan Chowdhry, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhry and Deepa Dasmunshi, (West Bengal), S Satyanarayana, K Jayasuyraprakash Reddy, P Balram Naik, and Killi Kriparani (Andhra Pradesh). Lalchand Kataria (Rajasthan), Ranee Narah (Assam) and Ninong Ering (Arunachal Pradesh) are the others who were sworn-in as MoS.
