Chiki Sarkar is Random House India’s new Editor-in-Chief

The Random House Group recently announced that Chiki Sarkar, currently Commissioning Editor at Bloomsbury Publishing in London, will be joining Random House India as Editor-in-Chief on August 14.

Her brief will be to create a focussed list of fiction and non-fiction which will reflect the best of Random House's publishing strengths around the world.

Sonny Mehta, Chairman and Publisher of the Knopf Group, and Chairman of Random House India, said, "In Chiki we have appointed an outstanding person. Her knowledge of contemporary India, her range of contacts, her experience and her excellent publishing judgement make her ideal for the role."
