1.Tezaab (1988)
This film, directed by N Chandra, made Madhuri Dixit a star overnight and can be safely called her first big break. This brought her into the limelight as she got nominated for Filmfare Awards in the Best Actress Category for the very first time. Anil Kapoor starred opposite Madhuri Dixit in the film, giving birth to one of the few celebrated onscreen couples.
2.Ram Lakhan (1989)
After the '88 blockbuster, Ram Lakhan, directed by Subhash Ghai pitted the two stars, Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit together, reinforcing the onscreen chemistry of the pair.
3.Dil (1990)
Indra Kumar's 1990 flick, Dil, had quite the storyline. Madhuri's performance in this film was all aces and it got the first Filmfare Award in the Best Actress category to her for the first time.
4.Saajan (1991)
Problem ensues when two brothers fall for the same woman in this Lawrence D'Souza film, 'Saajan'. Starring Salman Kahn, Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt, this film was set out to a blockbuster from the very beginning.
5.Beta (1992)
Directed by Indra Kumar, this film held Madhuri Dixit, Aruna Irani and Anil Kapoor in pivotal roles. With five Filmfare awards to its roster, this film was the biggest blockbuster of 1992.
6.Khalnayak (1993)
Directed by Subhash Ghai, this action thriller starred Sanjay Dutt as an escaped terrorist and Jackie Shroff and Madhuri Dixit trying to capture him.
7.Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! (1994)
Starring Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit, this Sooraj R Barjatya film went on to be the highest grossing Bollywood film of all times, with earnings over USD 20 million.
8.Dil To Pagal Hai (1997)
Shah Rukh Khan along with Madhuri Dixit and Karisma Kapoor, in this Yash Chopra film, Dil To Pagal Hai, quite literally made history. With three National Film Awards and eight Filmfare Awards, the film developed a cult status over the years.
9.Devdas (2002)
Based on the romantic-tragedy by Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay, this film was star-studded with Shah Rukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Until it was beat in 2005 by Black, this film had the highest number of awards with five National and nine Filmfare wins.
10.Dedh Ishqiya (2014)
Directed by Abhishek Choubey, Dedh Ishqiya was a sequel of the film Ishqiya and had Madhuri Dixit playing one of the lead characters.
