IPL 2019, RCB vs CSK: Indian Premier League (2019) has seen many brilliant catches over the 12 seasons so far. Just a day after Colin Ingram and Axar Patel combined to take a great relay catch, Faf du Plessis and substitute fielder Dhruv Shorey tag teamed to pull off another great catch. The catch resulted in the dismissal of Marcus Stoinis (14) who was starting to look dangerous.
Stoinis had hit Imran Tahir down the ground where Faf ran and took the catch. However, as his momentum carried him forward and he lost his balance, he threw it inside for the nearest man. Dhruv Shorey, who had also made the run from long on, was ready and gladly accepted the catch.
1. Faf du Plessis does the hard work
Faf du Plessis had run from long-off to take the catch and managed to reach it. However, he knew he was going over the ropes due to his momentum. So he scooped the ball inside. Shorey was alert to take the catch.
2. Saturday Ingram, Sunday Faf
Sunday's effort comes just a day after the catch taken by Colin Ingram and Axar Patel. It happened on Saturday during the Delhi Captails vs Kings XI Punjab match.
Chris Gayle was batting very well and went after Sandeep Lammichhane in the 13th over. He did not get the best connection but it still looked like going it over the ropes. Ingram tracked the ball till the very end and leapt to catch it. The momentum, however, was certain to take him over the ropes. Ingram threw the ball to Axar Patel who standing very far from him. The throw was perfect and Patel completed the catch to dismiss Gayle.
