Joe Root has made a huge call by dropping first Test's Man of the Match, Sam Curran to include Ben Stokes in the playing XI for the third Test. The latter, who is coming off from being proved not guilty in the Bristol club brawl case, will look to immediately prove himself. PC: Reuters
3.India drops Vijay, Dhawan returns
Shikhar Dhawan, who was dropped for the second Test after he scored a pair in the opening Test, has been recalled for the Trent Bridge Test replacing Vijay in the opening slot. The latter scored just 20 and 6 runs respectively in the Edgbaston Test followed by two ducks at the Lord's. PC: Reuters
