Chinnappampatti is a small village in Salem district. It is from this place where a 29-year-old dismissed Virat Kohli and took his first wicket in IPL 2020 playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad. Against Delhi Capitals, he was nailing yorkers at will as their power-packed batting failed to get the final push. It was his ability to bowl yorkers that got the attention of Kings XI Punjab in IPL 2017. From becoming a tennis ball legend in Chinnappampatti to acquiring a reputation as a yorker master in the Tamil Nadu Premier League. From taking the wickets of MS Dhoni and also AB de Villiers with a yorker, it was only a matter of time before T Natarajan would get into the India cricket team. That dream also came true on Wednesday

T Natarajan was handed his debut cap by Virat Kohli ahead of India’s match against Australia at the Manuka Oval in Canberra on Wednesday. T Natarajan replaced Navdeep Saini in the line-up as India won the toss and chose to bat. It was indeed a great moment for this cricketer for Salem and his journey is a testament that if one works hard towards their dream, they can get success and make their international debut on the big stage. India are currently 0-2 down in the three-match series and are playing for only pride in the Canberra ODI. India lost two high-scoring encounters in Sydney as they lost a series for the first time in over a year against Australia.
