There have been many speculations and news reports with regards to Sanjay Leela Bhansali's next starring Salman Khan
Sanjay Leela Bhansali had confirmed that he is doing a film with Salman Khan next. The filmmaker made this announcement on his own birthday. Soon after it was revealed that Shah Rukh Khan might also be cast in the same film and we could not be more excited!
The filmmaker has given cult films with both the Khans. While he has given us Devdas with Shah Rukh Khan, Sanjay and Salman came together for the classic film Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam which also starred Bhaijaan's then-girlfriend Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

The last time we heard about Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film starring Salman and Shah Rukh Khan, it was reported that actress Alia Bhatt has been approached. Prior to this, news reports claimed that Priyanka Chopra was going to be roped in for the film but these reports also clarify that Salman is not too comfortable working with PeeCee post her exit from Bharat.

Reports have claimed that Sanjay Leela Bhansali would bring Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan together in the film. When SLB announced the film, he termed it a love story starring Salman Khan.

3. Baiju Bawra remake?

The latest news reports suggest that the film might be based on Baiju Bawra, a 1952 drama film that had been directed by Vijay Bhatt. The movie starred Meena Kumari and Bharat Bhushan in lead roles. The story of that film was about Baiju and Tansen. Baiju challenged Tansen for a musical duet in Akbar's court.

4. Two titles registered for the film?

It was also reported that Sanjay has registered two titles with Indian Motion Pictures’ Association (IMPPA). He wanted the title to either be 'Dil De Diya Inshallah' or 'Pyaar Ho Gaya Inshallah'.

Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan last appeared in a full-fledged role in the movie Hum Tumhaare Hain Sanam. They did cameos in Tubelight and Zero respectively, but never came together for a full-fledged role post their 2002 release.
