Businessman Raj Kundra, the husband of actress Shilpa Shetty, who was arrested late Monday night on charges of allegedly making porn content and publishing them through some mobile apps, has been sent into custody till July 23 in the pornography creation case. However, this isn't the first time that allegations have come up against him in such a crime. Actress and model Poonam Pandey had filed a complaint against Kundra in 2019 for fraud. And recently, Poonam Pandey also made some startling revelations stating that Raj Kundra had threatened her.

Recently, in an interview with ETimes, actress-model Poonam Pandey said that upon a contractual disagreement in 2019 and consequently the termination of her contract, Raj Kundra and his associates had threatened her. "They threatened me to sign their new contract. I would have to shoot as and when they wished, however, they wanted, otherwise they would leak my private things," Poonam said in her statement.

Actress-model Poonam Pandey claims Raj Kundra leaked her number along with a message that said "I will strip for you". "After I refused, my phone number was leaked on the internet with the message, "call me now, I will strip for you." They broadcasted this message along with my personal mobile number," Poonam told the leading entertainment portal. In a video message to IANS, Poonam said: "When I said no to signing the contract, he leaked my phone number with a caption, 'Call me now. I will strip for you'. He released this message along with my personal number and broadcast it. I still remember that after that my phone rang non-stop. I got calls from the whole world, including threatening messages."

Poonam Pandey also said that she had to go into hiding. "I was not home. I was living like a fugitive. I was scared that something would happen to me because of the kind of messages I used to get, such as 'I know where you are'. It was scary," Poonam told IANS.

"I am giving this statement even after my lawyers said no, because if Raj Kundra can do this to me -- and I am a known personality -- then what is he doing to others? After Raj Kundra Kundra was arrested by the Mumbai Police on late Monday night, Poonam Pandey had spoken to the media and said that such a time, she would not like to highlight her own trauma and stated that her heart goes out to Shilpa Shetty and her kids. Talking about Raj Kundra's arrest in a case related to the production and streaming of porn films, Poonam Pandey has said, "At this moment my heart goes out to Shilpa Shetty and her kids. I can't imagine what she must be going through. So, I refuse to use this opportunity to highlight my trauma." "The only thing I'll add is that I have filed a police complaint in 2019 against Raj Kundra and subsequently registered a case at the honourable high court of Bombay against him for fraud and theft. This matter is sub judice, hence I would prefer to limit my statements. Also, I have full faith in our police & the judicial process," she added.

In 2019, Poonam had filed a case against Kundra and his associates from Armsprime Media, the company which was handling her app. She had complained that they were illegally using her videos, even after their contract with her ended. Poonam had also made a statement that following the disagreement her number and some images were leaked. This resulted in her getting calls that were derogatory in nature.
Speaking to the leading daily in February, Raj distanced himself from the matter. He had said, "I had invested in a company called Armsprime Media last year, which makes apps for celebrities. I am not aware of the petition as I exited the venture in December 2019 with a sale to the current shareholders."
