Sonu Sood, who predominantly acts in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil cinema, celebrates his 45th birthday on Monday. The actor who has been a part of Bollywood films, including Singh is Kinng with Akshay Kumar, Jodha Akbar which also starred Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and Chinese action-adventure comedy film Kung Fu Yoga with Jackie Chan, has turned a year younger and wiser we have to say!
The actor is like old wine, the older the better! Sonu, who happens to be a fitness freak, spends a good amount of his day in burning those extra calories and staying robust and healthy.
On his special day, however Sonu doesn’t have any big plans to ring in his birthday. “When your parents are no longer around, it doesn’t make sense,” the actor told DNA on not celebrating his birthday.
Probe him on the first thought that comes to his mind at the mention of his b’day and he recalls his childhood days in his hometown, Moga, Punjab. “My parents would celebrate it in a big way, with a huge cake, a party, etc. I was more excited about the number of gifts I would get and spend the whole night unwrapping them,” Sonu reminisces.
But as he grew older, he became shy and finally when he started doing films, he was no longer in the mood to celebrate. Sonu who says that throwing birthday bashes is not for him, however visits temple every year on the day religiously.
Sonu Sood is one fine actor, who will next be seen in Rohit Shetty's Simmba, which also stars Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan, and it only makes sense to wish him a Happy Birthday in a special way.
