Shanthakumaran Sreesanth is back home in Kerala but the news that the Kerala Cricket Association has received a letter from the BCCI about his Level II offence left him shaken. Sreesanth was involved in a verbal tiff with Mumbai bowler Dhawal Kulkarni and was fined 60 per cent of his match fees during the Irani Trophy.

“I haven’t seen this letter yet. I have tried my best to stay calm and cool on the field and that incident involving Kulkarni was an exception. I want to play as many games as I can and really don’t want to get involved in such incidents,” Sreesanth told DNA on Tuesday.

The fast bowler admitted that his performance in the past has been overshadowed by other things.  “I want people to talk about my bowling and my performance. I don’t want to get into any trouble. I have been working hard and trying my best. I have paid the price for my Level-II offence and I won’t do anything that earns me a Level-III offence,” Sreesanth said.

Talking about what happened between him and Kulkarni, Sreesanth said that he did not “abuse” the Mumbai bowler.
