Brown, 19, was arrested and charged with making criminal threats following an alleged attack on Rihanna after a pre-Grammys party on February 8.
He was freed on bail following his arrest, and is due in court for a hearing on March 5.
Police are still gathering evidence on the case but a Police spokesperson confirmed that they would seek justice, for the
Disturbia singer even if she doesn't testify in court.
"If the state gathers up enough evidence, we will press charges with or without her testifying. It is not up to the victim. She will not have to show up during the arraignment," said the spokesperson.
