Khandwawala has approached the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, and asked the prestigious B-school to teach relevant management concepts to the IPS officers of Gujarat cadre.

“Policing is not very different from management. Police officers, too, need to have managerial skills to do their job effectively,” he said. “I have contacted IIM-A and requested it to organise instruction in managerial skills for IPS officers.” Talks with IIM-A are reported to be in the final stages and the state’s IPS officers would soon be receiving training at the B-school.
