BHEL bags Rs 121 cr contract from BPCL

BHEL said it has secured a Rs 121 crore contract from Bharat Petroleum Corp Ltd for supplying compressor packages for the latter's Kochi refinery.

NEW DELHI: Power equipment supplier Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd on Thursday said it has secured a Rs 121 crore contract from Bharat Petroleum Corp Ltd for supplying compressor packages for the latter's Kochi refinery.
    
BPCL has placed an order worth Rs 121 crore for procuring three compressor packages, including a high flow and high pressure BCL 800 compressor, BHEL said in a statement.
    
As per the contract the company would provide two recycle gas compressors and one net gas compressor along with associated auxiliaries, it added.
    
The equipment will be supplied within 18 months by BHELs manufacturing plants in Hyderabad and Bhopal.
    
The company is also executing an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for BPCL valued at nearly Rs 298 crore for setting up an energy efficient co-generation power plant at Kochi refinery.
