Gauahar Khan’s career graph is certainly on the rise and she is definitely loving it.

First, she landed a meaty role in Yash Raj Films’ Rocket Singh that starred Ranbir Kapoor, next, making in-roads into Balaji doing a cameo in Ekta Kapoor’s forthcoming movie on Mumbai’s underbelly in the ’70s.

Now, she has bagged a film produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani titled The Game.

“I have been fortunate enough to get big banners but I also credit my hard work for it. I have been patient and have been judicious in signing the films.

People generally think that I will do only glamourous roles but I surprised many in Rocket Singh when I wasn’t glamourous at all. I like this about me. I have always done things that people don’t really expect me to do,” she tells us.

The model-turned-actor however will be back in her ravishing avatar for Ekta as well as Farhan’s film.

Talking about Ekta’s film starring Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi and Prachi Desai, Gauahar reveals, “I’m doing a special dance number. I had to be the Helen of the ’70s and I jumped to the opportunity.

I did retro and it was great to pick up the dance moves of that era which is also considered as the golden period of Hindi cinema.”

She adds, “For The Game, I will wear fashionable clothes and look my best actually. I’m playing an extremely chic role. It is totally up my alley because I also have a keen fashion sense.

I have got many film offers wanting to cast me in a glamourous way but I stayed away from them because I always wanted to make a big impact with my acting.”

Ask her to reveal where her sex appeal lies and she shoots, “It has to be in how I carry myself. ”
