Is 'I love NY' an accidental love story?

I love NY is a romantic comedy movie which revolves around a chance meeting between two strangers; one a beautiful musician, Tikku (Kangana Ranaut) and the other a serious wall street banker Rajbir (Sunny Deol). Both of them are living in New York and Chicago respectively.

Everything goes haywire when Tikku finds Rajbir on her bed on the night of New Year's eve. Rajbir, who is celebrating his engagement with his friends in Chicago ends up boarding a flight to New York, which one of his friends was supposed to fly by.

Co-incidentally Rajbir's address and Tikku's address is the same although they are in different cities. Somehow Rajbir gets inside Tikku's house in a drunken state and passes out on her bed. The situation gets chaotic when Tikku's boyfriend comes to her house for the night. Her plan of proposing to her boyfriend is then lost.

The story takes us on an emotional and hilarious roller coaster ride as it captures the vibrancy of New York during the New Year celebration.​

Kangana and Sunny Deol give a satisfactory performance. There are a few cameos in the movie and their performance is a good support for the main leads. The direction is satisfactory with the music being nice.

Interestingly the movie was set to release on December 30, 2013. But it got delayed and the movie was shelved. After Kangana's recent success of Tanu weds Manu Returns, producer Bhushan Kumar decided to release the movie on July 10, 2015.

All in all it is an entertaining movie and a one time watch.
