World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), which was earlier known as WWF, has seen some huge megastars over the years.

Over the past number of decades, WWE has produced some huge stars in the likes of The Undertaker, Big Show, Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Kane, etc who managed to become a local name in everyone's household.

The athletes put themselves and their bodies through a lot of ware and tare for the entertainment of the world but sometimes, it goes too far.

Numerous WWE wrestlers have suffered multiple major life-threatening injuries over the years which has been halted a lot of troubles.

Sometimes, these athletes went on too far and so here is a list of WWE stars who have died young.

1. Curt Hennig

Nicknamed as the "Mr Perfect", Curt Hennig was one of the biggest WWE personalities at his time.

 

However, the wrestler died at a very young age at 44. 


During his glory days, numerous rumors sugged that Hennig had problems with substance abuse and it ultimately turned out to be true.



Back on 10 February 2003, the wrestler was found dead in his hotel room in Tampa, Florida - with cocaine intoxication.

 

2. Chris Benoit

Born on May 21, 1967, Chris Benoit made an instant impact on the grand stage as he quickly became one of the view's favourite due to his charismatic personality in front of the camera.


Benoit was married to Nancy Daus Sullivan, a WWE superstar in her time as well, but the couple was found dead at their house.

 

As per police reports, Chris had murdered his wife and son before hanging himself in the gym.

 

Autopsies reports also revealed that both Nancy and his son were under the heavy influence of Xanex, indicating that Benoit might have intoxicated his wife and son before murdering them and then killing himself too.

 

3. Owen Hart

Owen Hart

Canadian born Owen Hart is easily one of the more famous ones on this list.

 

The wrestler, unfortunately, lost his life at the young age of 34 while he was being lowered in a harness from a great height. 

 

However, the stunt failed horribly and ultimately causing Owen to fall to his death from a height of 78 feet and died.

 

4. Shad Gaspard

WWE star Shad Gaspard is one that happened very recently and is still young in our minds.

 

Earlier on May 17, 2020, Gaspard had disappeared while swimming in the ocean with his 10-year-old son after numerous people got caught in a rip current.

 

Lifeguards did rush to the scene to save the people in need, Gaspard had instructed them to save his son first.

 

While his son got pulled to safety, Gaspard, unfortunately, drowned when another wave hit him.


Later on May 20,  his body was recovered as he died at the age of 39 years.

 

 

5. Eddie Guerrero

Eddie Guerrero's life was caught into the substance abuse rift which ultimately cost him his life.

 

The Texas-born wrestler was found dead in a hotel room back in 2005, losing his life to substance abuse at the age of 38.



In spite of dying at a young age, Eddie is still regarded as one of the all-time greats at WWE ever produced.
