Amazon India has officially announced the date of commencement of the Amazon Great Indian Festival 2021 sale which will begin on October 4. However, the company did not announce the end date of the sale. Amazon India announced the launch of this year's Great Indian Festival sale through a virtual press conference today.
Amazon Prime members will be given early access to deals and discounts available during the Festival 2021 sale. Prime members will also get additional cashback and extended no-cost EMIs. Meanwhile, rival Flipkart will be hosting its Big Billion Days 2021 sale starting October 7.
1. Celebration of resilience of local shop owners, small-medium sellers

This year's Great Indian Festival is a celebration of the resilience of local shop owners and small and medium sellers. From last year, Amazon changed its around a week-long festive sale to a month-long festival. Amazon has over 8.5 lakh sellers across the country including over 75,000 local shops from 450 cities and other sellers under various Amazon programs.

There will be over 1,000 new product launches from brands such as Apple, Asus, Fossil, HP, Lenovo, OnePlus, Samsung, Sony, and Xiaomi. There will also be new launches around Sony's PS5 and Microsoft's Xbox, Amazon revealed through a statement.

Amazon Pay is also touted to allow customers to save up to Rs 5,000 during the Great Indian Festival sale by making payments of their utility bills, booking tickets, and sending money.
5. HDFC Bank to offer 10% instant discount for its customers

Amazon has partnered with HDFC Bank to offer a 10% instant discount for customers making purchases using HDFC Bank debit and credit cards as well as EMI transactions during the Great Indian Festival sale.
