Once ally, now bitter foes, Chandrababu Naidu has personally attacked PM Narendra Modi calling him names at an election rally in Andhra Pradesh. With Jagan Mohan Reddy's YSRCP gaining massive traction, Chandrababu Naidu is in panic mode. Naidu is trying to rejig his election campaign and has increasingly sharpened political rhetoric against adversaries including BJP. a

Andhra CM Naidu while speaking at a rally in Madanapally, Chittoor said, "PM Modi is a terrorist, he is not a good man". Resorting to fear mongering, Chandrababu Naidu said, " I want to remind the minorities that if you vote for Narendra Modi, you will face a huge amount of problem".As an example of cases, where injustice has been done, Naidu mentioned the legislation to make triple talaq criminally punishable. He dubbed it as a conspiracy to put minorities behind the bar.

Raking up the Gujarat 2002 riots, Chandrababu Naidu said," 2000 people were killed after the Godhra incident. I was the only one who asked for his resignation at that time". Andhra CM said that then Gujarat CM Narendra Modi was banned from entering several countries. Naidu alleged that Modi is again trying to persecute minorities after becoming Prime Minister.

After calling him 'U-turn babu' and 'Sticker Babu', Prime Minister Narendra Modi Monday sought to liken TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu to 'Bhallaladeva,' the evil character in the blockbuster film Baahubali, whose heritage was only 'vishwasghaat' (betrayal).

Modi also made a pointed reference to the recent controversy related to the theft of peoples personal data by the TDP through its mobile application Seva Mitra and accused the ruling party of indulging in cyber crime.

"Falsehood, despair and u-turn have become the TDP governments identity.
Someone was telling me...U-turn Babus condition has become like Bhallaladeva of Bahubali film.

"Polavaram is a live example of the U-turn Babus intentions.
For the U-turn Babu and the TDP, Polavaram has become an ATM. Draw money and continue to play corrupt games. Thats their work," PM Modi said earlier this week.

"We have so far released Rs 7,000 crore for the project to the state government and also ensured there are no hitches in execution.
But the reality is the TDP doesn't want to complete Polavaram. It's not spending Central funds for the right purposes," the Prime Minister said.
The TDP government kept the project works hanging only to escalate costs, Modi alleged.

He said due to the inefficiency of rulers in state and centre, the project has been stuck for over four decades.

After divorcing from NDA over Special status for Andhra Pradesh, Chandrababu Naidu has increasingly steered closer to Congress. TDP and Congress contested the Telangana elections together, but the alliance came a cropper. Now, the parties are contesting Andhra elections separately, but Naidu is seen sharing stage with Congress president Rahul Gandhi frequently.

Naidu also has been in forefront of leading the opposition's demand for matching 50% of EVM results with paper trail.
