OPINION: London Mayor Sadiq Khan must answer

Protests outside Indian missions have become a routine affair. These are usually staged by a handful of Khalistani supporters. Pakistani origin Britons of the most rabid kind and possibly non-residential Pakistanis in Britain were brought in by buses from various cities around London, most of them Pakistani ghettos that are loosely called No Go Zones. There were 300-odd Indian origin Britons and NRIs who had gathered to celebrate Independence Day.

They had come with their families and children, and across the road there were thousands of Pakistani-origin people screaming and abusing. The local administration under London Mayor, Sadiq Khan, didn’t respond as swiftly as they should have. The UK government must explain why the High Commission was allowed to be exposed to a violent crowd.
