Oscars 2014: The Academy makes a heartfelt thank you video for all behind the scenes players

Everyone knows that this year, 'Gravity', '12 Years a Slave', Matthew McConaughey, Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence are nominated. Ellen DeGeneres is returning as a host, while big names like Emma Watson, John Travolta, Kevin Spacey, Will Smith and Anna Kendrick will make an appearance at the Oscars. But no one really knows the people behind the scenes. The one who designes the sets, puts the statues in place, makes the decitions, runs around and gets things read, works the lights and sounds, rolls our the red carpet and all the other jobs that go unnoticed every year. But this year, the Oscars decided the real stars of the show should get their time in the spotlight too. 

On their official YouTube channel the Academy said, "The Academy thanks everybody working to bring you The Oscars this year with a unique look into some of that work as seen through Google Glass."
