Marathi comedian Bharat Jadhav launches website, turns blogger

Aping several Hindi actors active in the cyber space, popular Marathi comedian Bharat Jadhav too has turned a blogger on his recently launched website.

"A need to communicate with people and fans home and abroad was felt strongly. The website (www.bharatjadhav.com) is an outcome of this need and two-year-long efforts that went in to prepare it," Bharat Jadhav said.

"Though I am not the first Marathi actor to come up with a website, for sure I am the only one to have a personalised blog," the noted comedian claimed.

Bharat was particular enthusiastic about the response to his blog on the website designed by an Australian company.

"The response to my blogs is "solid". It has proved to be a great medium for me to connect with my fans and answer their queries or solicit opinion from them when needed," he said.

According to the actor, the web portal would also help him to take his comedy, 'Hasa Chatakfu', staged in association with actor Ankush Chowdhary and filmmmaker Kedar Shinde, show world over.

"Now, people from world-over can contact us through my website. It provides a proper and easy access," he said.

Bharat, has acted in Hindi movies like 'Vastav', 'Pran Jay Par Shan Naa Jay' is better known for his play 'Sahi Re Sahi', which is one of the most successful Marathi plays ever.

In a career spanning over 25 years, he has acted in several Marathi movies including the recent 'Ringa Ringa', 'Shikshanachya Aaicha Gho'.

On whether post-blogging he also intends to join the league of netizen-actors on social networking sites like Twitter, Bharat said no.

"It becomes difficult to manage contacts for an actor on SNS. I have to delete at least 200-250 contacts or friend requests on my Facebook account. So currently, I would like to remain connected to my fans through my website only," he added.

The upcoming movies of the actor, as revealed on the website, include 'Jhing Chik Jhing', 'Kalshekar Aahet ka?' and 'Kay Karu Kasa Karu'.
