Despite corridors being formed and several steps being taken, there is an increase in the number of vehicles plying on the road? How will the corridor help in de-congestion?

It is a fact that number of vehicles is increasing exponentially; it will have impact on traffic as the existing roads have limited capacity of bearing the vehicles.  The impact of corridor clearance will be assessed from time to time

On the directions of the L-G, corridors were formed and some corridors were taken up on priority. Despite several meetings and work allotted to various agencies, traffic situation has not been improved? Why?

Efforts to clear the corridors are on. The noticeable impact will be felt when atleast 50 per cent of the assigned work has been completed

What is the present status of the ‘A’ corridor that was taken up? Has Delhi Police and other civic agencies completed the tasks assigned to them? 

Various civic agencies have given time lines for completion of the task assigned to them in connection with the corridor de-congestion. The Delhi Traffic Police will coordinate with them

What other steps have been taken to improve the traffic situation, especially during water logging? 

Delhi Traffic Police gives a regular feedback to the civic agencies as and when water logging is reported in any area or location. Delhi Traffic Police is continuously making efforts to improve the traffic situation by enforcement and by road traffic engineering with the help of civic authorities. Increasing number of vehicles on the road is one of the biggest challenges as the roads have reached almost a level of saturation in terms of vehicle volume
