When we think of wealth, we assume that the rich are in a league of their own, but then there are categories in the rich as well, as Amazon Chief Jeff Bezos' wealth has shown that he is at least $50 billion richer than any other person on Earth.
According to Forbes, Bezos has a net worth of $130 billion, making him the richest man in the world. Mukesh Ambani's the highest-placed Indian, ending up 11th on the list.
According to Bloomberg Billionaires Index, his network is about $55 billion more than Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, the world’s second-richest person. In 1999, his total net worth briefly hit the $100 billion mark, which would be worth about $149 billion today in inflation-adjusted terms.
The report added that Amazon’s Chief Executive Officer is richer than anyone else on Earth since at least 1982. This was the year, Forbes started publishing its inaugural wealth ranking.
