Hailed as the first female superstar of Indian cinema, late actor Sridevi was born on August 13, 1963, in Meenampatti, Tamil Nadu. The legendary actress, who started her career in films as a child actor with the 1967 Tamil film 'Kandhan Karunai' at the age of 4, tragically died by accidental drowning in her guest room at the Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel, in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates on February 24, 2018.
The legendary actor starred in over 125 films in her career spanning over several decades.
And while films remained an integral part of her life, Sridevi's family -- husband Boney Kapoor and daughters Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor, were the most important part of her entire life. She even took a break of 15 years to dedicate herself to her family and later, made a stellar comeback in Bollywood with the 2012 flick English Vinglish.
