Here's peeping into our Bollywood and Television celebrities' Karva Chauth preperations
Thousands of married Hindu women across North India will be celebrating Karva Chauth, today i.e. October 27th for the safety and longevity of their husbands. As part of the celebrations, married women wake up early in the morning (before sunrise) and eat sargi, a pre-dawn meal that is traditionally prepared by mothers-in-law.
After eating the sargi, women observe a nirjala vrat (fast without food and water) from sunrise to moonrise. These days husbands, too, fast along with their wives. Women break the fast only after offering prayers to the moon. They look at the moon through a sieve as part of an old ritual. Husbands then offer water and food to their wives to break their fast.
Married women adorn themselves in red clothes and do the 16 shringaar - which includes bangles, vermilion, lipstick, henna among other things. There are several Bollywood and television couples like Shilpa Shetty-Raj Kundra, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan-Abhishek Bachchan, Divyanka Tripathi-Vivek Dahiya, Anita Hassanandani-Rohit Reddy who religiously celebrate the festival, every year.
There are also newly married couples like Sonam Kapoor-Anand Ahuja, Prince Narula - Yuvika Chaudhary and Gautam Rode - Pankhuri Awasthi who will be celebrating the festival for the first time, this year.

One of Bollywood's most adorable couples - Sonam and Anand got married in May this year and are celebrating the Hindu festival together for the first time. Both Sonam and Anand shared photos after applying henna on their hands.They both got heart designs on their palms with Sonam adding alphabets AS to hers.

Ayushmann Khurrana won the hearts of his fans and friends once again on Saturday when he declared he will be fasting for the good health and long life of his cancer-stricken wife Tahira Kashyap this Karwa Chauth.
3. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan

Abhishek Bachchan, on Saturday, revealed that he observes the Karva Chauth fast with his wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, every year. “Karva Chauth, good luck ladies.... And the dutiful husbands who should also be fasting with their wives! I do,” the actor wrote on Twitter.
4. Prince Narula and Yuvika Chaudhary

Newly Weds Prince Narula and Yuvika Chaudhary are all set to celebrate their first Karva Chauth. In a video now going viral on social media, Prince can be seen applying mehendi on his wive's hands. The actor is not only fasting along with her but the doting husband also cooked sargi for Yuvika.
5. Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra

Shilpa Shetty, who usually leads the Karva Chauth celebrations in Bollywood, is away in Sri Lanka, this year.
