Cannes veteran Aishwarya Rai Bachchan arrived at the French Riviera just a couple of hours back and the actress has already revealed her first look for Cannes 2019

Aishwarya, who first made her debut at the film festival back in 2002, has perfected the art of walking the red carpet in couture gowns, and no matter what she wears she knows how to shine in it. And, with this year's outfit she didn't have to try too hard to 'shine' since the ensemble did that for her.

The actress sprinkled stardust on the Cannes red carpet as she sashayed down the iconic stairs in a iridescent metallic-neon fish-cut gown by Lebanese couturier Jean-Louis Sabaji. The gown sported a long train and came with a sweetheart neckline and a small slit.

Here's a detailed look at Aishwarya's first red-carpet outing at Cannes this year:

Aishwarya's gown took 200 hours of intricate work.  “Crafted from 18 meters of stiff and delicate foiled leather, the artisans were not dealing with the usual silk or chiffon, therefore, manipulating the six-layered train and assembling the cuts gathered the whole team of seamstresses to work together on this one dress,” Jean-Louis Sabaji told Vogue.

“Mrs. Aishwayra Rai Bachchan is the ultimate red-carpet queen and dressing her especially for Cannes made me extremely happy. She always wears statement pieces, that ‘s why I created for her an edgy design with an edgier fabric that only she can pull off. As Mrs. Rai Bachchan walked the red carpet today, she shined like a goddess with the six-layered edgy train following her as a symbol of completeness and beauty," Sabaji told Vogue.

The former beauty queen let her show-stealing ensemble do the fashion talk, keeping it simple and elegant in the make-up corner. She skipped jewellery and opted for poker straight hair and minimal makeup - yellow eyeshadow, volumising mascara and a nude matte lip effortlessly rounded off her look.  Some sparkly dust on the ears and two rings from the collections of Boucheron were all she needed to balance her blaze.

Before hitting the red-carpet, seven-year-old Aaradhya Bachchan adorably escorted her mom as she made her way down through Hotel Martinez. She looked just as beautiful in a tulle asymmetrical dress in lemon hue.
