Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli were one of the first A-lister couples who kept their wedding extremely secret. They tied the knot at Borgo Finocchieto in Italy but are still remembered for their beautiful wedding, from all the limited photos and videos which fans got access to.
Virushka as they are popularly called, went to the extent of hiding their identity and even lying about themselves, all of this just to keep their wedding a big secret. Interestingly Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh also got in an extremely private and secretive wedding in Italy just like Virat-Anushka.
Hence we now wonder if Deepika-Ranveer also went to the extent of hiding their identity from people (apart from banning phones) so that any fan could not recognize them or click photos with them? Here, see a timeline of secrecy in both the weddings:

Anushka went on to reveal that nobody except their family members, close friends, wedding planner, managers and stylist Sabyasachi Mukherjee were aware about their identity. She went on to say that Virat named himself Rahul on the wedding day. "We even used fake names while talking to the caterer; I think Virat's was Rahul," Anushka told Vogue magazine in an interview recently.
2. She calls the energy 'blessed'

"We wanted to have a home-style wedding. There were only 42 people there, with all our friends and family present. I wanted it to be about Virat and me marrying each other, and not this big celebrity wedding. The energy at our wedding was blessed," the actress added.
3. Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh were next in line

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, who reportedly could not get married earlier because of their 'busy schedule', were up next in the name of high-profile celeb weddings. The couple tied the knot on November 14-15 in Konkani wedding and Anand Karaj.
4. They banned phones and it was blissful

"Privacy was secondary. The reason we asked our guests not to have cell phones was because we wanted them to be present in the moment. Usually, everyone is on their cell phones, capturing the moment. These moments should be in your mind and heart as they’re never going to come back. Every single guest, I kid you not, is so thankful. People who’ve never danced in their lives were on the dance floor. People who’ve never tasted alcohol were tasting wine. That’s how free people were. They were emotionally present there and they didn’t have any choice but to talk to each other. Since we were a small group of just uncles, aunties, cousins and friends we could ask them to leave their phones behind. Everyone who has meant something to us in our life was there. They understood where we were coming from," Deepika had told a publication.
The question now arises, did DeepVeer also have to go through the procedure of hiding their names or lying to other people involved with the wedding? The question arised after seeing that no wedding photos, not even by fans or with fans, were leaked from the wedding. So did Deepika-Ranveer maintain more secrecy than just banning phones?
