Actors walking out of Bollywood movies and getting replaced by someone else is not something new for Bollywood. For the uninitiated Shah Rukh Khan replaced Armaan Kohli in Deewana and the likes of Aamir Khan and Ajay Devgn in Darr. Both the movies went down in history to become Shah Rukh Khan's most memorable roles.

However, without social media, the news was always passed on ear-to-ear and not everybody was sure about it. In this age and era however, the makers of a film make their movie announcement on social media, leaving fans excited, amused, angry or jumping with joy.

The recent past has proven to be a little joyous and given us a little setback. There have been various character who were announced in a movie, pairings we were excited to watch together on screen, but alas, they had to move on to another project they had committed towards. This has happened with the likes of Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra, Shraddha Kapoor and even Akshay Kumar!

Here, know what we're talking about:

1. Akshay Kumar in Mogul: Latest lead actor unannounced

Bhushan Kumar proudly presented and introduced Akshay Kumar in the biopic of his father, music mogul Bhushan Kumar. T-Series unveiled the first look poster (a silhouette) along with the announcement which took place around March 17, 2017. Things however turned ugly exactly a year later i.e. around March 2018 and Akshay walked out of the film citing creative differences with director Subhash Kapoor. Two months later in May, superstar Aamir Khan became co-producer on the project and ever since, media has been abuzz that he might act in the movie too. While Aamir has clearly denied the possibility of that, we would like to think 'never say never'.

2. Katrina Kaif replaced Priyanka Chopra in Bharat

Priyanka Chopra, who was missing in action since three years in Bollywood (she was last seen in Prakash Jha's Jai Gangaajal), was finally roped in for Salman Khan's much-awaited movie Bharat. This venture was being helmed by Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai director Ali Abbas Zafar. While Priyanka Chopra was announced as the leading lady in the film during April 2018, she made a sudden exit around July 27. Ali Abbas Zafar hinted at her wedding to Nick Jonas by saying she left in 'nick of time'. Soon speculations were that Katrina Kaif would be announced as the leading lady, especially since reports already stated that she expressed her desire to work on the film. Two days later, on July 30, Ali Abbas Zafar and Salman Khan revealed that Katrina has indeed replaced Priyanka.

Since Katrina Kaif stepped into Bharat at end moment, she had to walk out of her dance film with Varun Dhawan. They were slated to be working for the first time for the movie which was then assumed to be ABCD 3. After Katrina Kaif's exit around December 29, 2018, Shraddha Kapoor joined her team once again after ABCD 2. Her name was announced as the lead around January 7, 2019. Within a month, on February 5, the movie got its title. It is now called Street Dancer 3D.

Like Katrina had to leave Street Dancer 3D for Bharat, Shraddha Kapoor had to let go of Saina for Street Dancer. On March 16 this year, it was confirmed that Shraddha, who had already trained majorly to step into Saina Nehwal's shoes, would not be able to continue with the project due to date clashes with Street Dancer 3D. The makers (Amole Gupte) immediately found a new face in Parineeti Chopra. The actress recently clarified that she has been practicing badminton and the movie would go on floors in October.
