Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Sushil Kumar Modi on Wednesday said that he will be attending the wedding ceremony of Tej Pratap Yadav, even as he continued with his exposés and attacks against Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) President Lalu Prasad Yadav's family.
Modi said wedding ceremonies were beyond politics and as such he will attend the function and bless the couple on May 12. "I had also attended Lalu's daughters' weddings," Modi said. Lalu, too, had attended Modi's son's wedding in Patna last year.
Earlier on Tuesday, the groom Tej Pratap and his would-be-father-in-law Chandrika Rai had personally met Modi to extend an invitation for the wedding ceremony. "Our heart is very big and it has place to accommodate everyone," Tej had tweeted, after inviting Modi.
The social warm-up, however, failed to reflect in their political equations with Modi on Wednesday alleging that the Tata property owned by Lalu Yadav and family was bought for them by the Sahara Group.
