Bigg Boss 12: From Rahul Roy to Shilpa Shinde, Here’s what all the ex-winners of Salman Khan’s show are doing now

With Salman Khan's popular television reality show Bigg Boss 12 just a day away, the excitement for the same is palpable. 

The Bharat actor is once again returning on the show as the 'host and dost' and we can't wait to see him anchoring, in his element! 

We will get to meet Salman every weekend on 'Weekend Ka Vaar', for the next three months, until a winner is crowned.

For the the coming 90 days, contestants in the Bigg Boss house will fight, scream and hurl abuses, become friends, lovers and even enemies to entertain the audience and win the big prize money. 

But before we wait until the winner of Bigg Boss 12 is announced, let's walk down the memory lane and recall the list of winners from the last 11 years and know what they have been up to since then!

1. Bigg Boss Season 1- Rahul Roy

The winner of the first season of Bigg Boss was the 'Aashiqui' (1990) fame actor Rahul Roy.

Rahul made a comeback in Bollywood with psychological thriller 'To Be Or Not To Be' in 2016. The actor was "looking for a strong storyline to make his comeback, but unfortunately the film disappeared without a trace. Rahul Roy is now working on a project titled 'Triangle'.

After winning the second season of the show in 2008, Ashutosh, who had also won 'Roadies V' in 2007, was offered a few roles in a string of forgettable films. Remember him in 'Zila Ghaziabad' (2013) or 'Shortcut Romeo'? Probably not! Ashutosh, who is from Saharanpur, then shifted focus to the small screen, and was seen in some episodes of TV shows, including 'Comedy Circus- Chinchpokli to China' and 'Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jayenge', among others

Bigg Boss Season 3- Vindu Dara Singh

Winner of 'Bigg Boss 3', Vindu Dara Singh did small roles in films like 'Housefull' and 'Son of Sardar', and was also seen in a few TV shows.

However, the actor's name in 2013, got embroiled in the IPL betting scandal. He later worked in films including 'Jatt James', 'Non Veg', 'Pranam Valekum', 'Khanna Patel' and 'Famous Ho Gaya'.

After winning the fourth season in 2010, Shweta essayed the role of 'Sweety' on the TV show 'Parvarrish- Kuchh Khattee Kuchh Meethi' and also participated in the dance reality show 'Jhalak Dik khla Jaa'.

In July 2013, Shweta married her boyfriend of three years, Abhinav Kohli. “As of now, I’m not doing anything. I’m planning to expand my acting school now,” she said about her professional plans. The actress currently features in a play 'Jab We Separated'

Urvashi Dholakia, still remembered for her role as 'Komolika' in 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay', was seen doing stand-up comedy on the show 'Nautanki- the Comedy Theatre' after winning the 6th season of 'Bigg Boss' in 2012. The actress then took a break, and has now started a venture on foreign shores.

“There are lot of things that are keeping me busy, but you will have to wait before I make any official announcements. I don’t like to brag. All I can reveal is that I have set up a venture abroad which I have always wanted to do. I believe that I have a life beyond acting, and I also like it that way,” Urvashi who gave a TED Talk in Pune a few days back, said

Unlike Gauhar Khan, TV actor Gautam Gulati saw a major shift in his career after he won the eighth season of the popular reality show. Gautam bagged his first role in a Bollywood film- biopic on 'Mohammad Azharuddin' (2016). Gautam essayed the role of Ravi Shastri in the film and was appreciated by critics and fans alike.The actor was also seen in 'Diya Aur Baati Hum' and 'Behen Hogi Teri'

Shilpa Shinde won the last season of 'Bigg Boss'. She was already famous as 'Angoori Bhabhi' of 'Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain' and after winning the reality show, the actress joined Sunil Grover for a LIVE cricket comedy show. She also featured in a special song for 'Patel Ki Punjabi Shadi'
