IND vs ENG Live Score: Kuldeep strikes again, departs Rehan for duck

Kuldeep Yadav also joins Jadeja in putting pressure on the Ben Stokes-led side. After departing the English skipper for 15, Yadav grabs his second wicket by dismissing Rehan Ahmed for a duck. England have now lost seven wickets for 53 runs.

Ravindra Jadeja yet again puts pressure on the English side as he departs Joe Root for seven runs. On Jadeja’s fifth delivery, Root leaned right forward to sweep and missed, it went under the bat before hitting him just above the ankle, Jadeja appealed, and umpire Joel Wilson was convinced and the finger went up. England are now 50 runs for 5.

Siraj comes back into attack to bowl the nineteenth over. However, he was conceded with a four on the very first delivery, smashed by Root at square leg. Siraj still manages to not give away any more runs in the subsequent balls. On the last ball, Stokes on strike takes three runs and ends the over by taking seven runs.

Jadeja continues. Stokes taps one to mid-wicket to take a single off the first ball of the over. Root on strike. Jadeja keeps hanging it outside the off-stump. Root is tentative, but he gets through the over without making a false shot.

Crawley lets another one alone on fifth stump. Two slips and a gully in place for Crawley. Crawley gets an inside edge as Bumrah gets this to come into him with the angle. Maiden over to start with.

Jaiswal steps out and launches this over long-off for a massive maximum off Root. SIX! This is slog-swept over deep midwicket for back-to-back sixes and Jaiswal is absolutely toying with the English. Yashasvi Jaiswal equals Wasim Akram’s record for most sixes in a Test innings with his 12th maximum in the second innings.

Jaiswal moves to 191 with a flick through midwicket for a single. Four ones from the over as India brings up its 500-run lead.

Rehan Ahmed into the attack. Sarfaraz plays this very late, dabbing it to deep third for three runs. Excellent save from Anderson to keep the ball from touching the boundary rope. India now leads by 450 runs. FOUR! Full toss outside off-stump and Jaiswal belts this through cover for a boundary.

The second new ball is available for England now. But Stokes sticks to the older one. Hartley returns now. Fuller one outside off and Jaiswal pumps it to deep cover to take a single. Sarfaraz clicks one to backward square to add another single. This games is drifting quickly away from England’s reach.

Rehan Ahmed pitches it short and Jaiswal happily taps it to deep cover for an easy single. Full and on the pads. Sarfaraz lofts it over mid wicket. No fielder there and it runs away for a four. Dropped short and Sarfaraz slices it away for a double past the point fielder.

Short from Rehan and Jaiswal pulls it. Doesn’t get the timing right. Just a single there. On the pads to Sarfaraz now. Nicked away for a single behind the square. Full and wide to Jaiswal. Smacked away. But still can’t find the fence. Another single taken.

Rehan to Jaiswal now. The leftie shifts to the off side before tapping one to the vacant square leg area to add a single. No attacking shots yet from the Indian opener. Kuldeep jumps out of the crease before padding a shorter one.

Kuldeep continues his aggressive intent against Hartley. Lashes at a fuller length delivery and is rewarded with a four straight down the ground. 

Wood from the other end. Clever batting from Kuldeep. Back of a length from Wood and Kuldeep uses his pace to guide it behind point for a four. Wood responds with a cutter. Thick inside edge onto the pads from Kuldeep. But England burns a review, more in hope. They just have one left in the bank now.

Gill gets going, finally. Hartley drops it short and Gill swats it away for a four to the deep square fence. Now he gets off the strike with an easy single to the off side. Kuldeep defends the last three balls.

Anderson from the other end. He will be looking to exploit the conditions to get England a breakthrough. Outside off stump and Gill guides it to deep cover for a single. That brings up the 200 for India. Anderson now goes around the wicket against Kuldeep. The English pacer is trying to angle one into Kuldeep’s stumps. Kuldeep is watchful with his defense. Gets through the over without much worry.

Hartley with the ball. Fuller one and Gill pushes it hard to mid-off and sets off on a risky single. Stokes chances his arm but doesn’t hit the target. Single taken. Kuldeep takes Hartley on with a sweep shot. Just a single though. Wide from Hartley now. Gill cuts it to deep cover for a single.

IND vs ENG Live Score: Pitch Report

The strip doesn’t look too different from Day 3 and it should still be very good for batting. However, the cracks have widened a bit while there is still a little bit of grass. Deep Dasgupta reckons it looks slightly more abrasive and there could be variable bounce.
