India took its medal tally to 36 on Day 8 of the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta-Palembang. India won five silver and two bronze medals on Sunday.
Highlights from Day 8
Athletics: Anu Raghavan and Jauna Murmu qualify for the women's 400m Hurdles final.
Archery: Indian men's compound team enters quarter-finals.
Medal - Equestrian: Fouaad Mirza wins a silver medal in the Eventing Individual event.
Medal - Equestrian: Indian team wins the silver medal in the Eventing Team event.
Medal - Women's 400m - Hima Das clocks 50.79 to clinch silver.
Medal - Men's 400m - Muhammad Anas clocks 45.69s, wins silver.
Medal - Women's 100m - Dutee Chand clocks 11.32s, clinches the silver medal.
Badminton: Saina Nehwal and PV Sindhu assured of a medal each by reaching the women's singles semi-finals.

End of first quarter, India have taken 2-0 lead over Korea. India rattled Korea with two early goals, they have hit back in the last minutes of the quarter but India look the better side.

Indian women finish 8th in the team event. In the individual events, Ridhima (+4) finishes tied-17th, Sifat Sagoo (+7) at tied-22nd and Diksha Dagar (+7) ends tied 22nd.

Indian men’s team face their biggest test in 2018 Asian Games so far - they will be in action against Korea shortly.
What a performance from Indian archers in compound men's team semi-finals. They have comprehensively defeated Chinese Taipei 230-227. All the three shooters played well, but Rajat Chauhan excelled with his zen like shooting. A constant torrent of 10s from him ensured that India slowly managed to build the lead against a good Taipei team. Real cool customer, Rajat will hope to carry his form when India take on South Korea in the final.
In the women's compound archery, Indian team is also through to the final where they will take on South Korea.
In boxing, mixed results for India. Manoj has bowed out much to our disappointment, whereas Sarjubala is through to the next round.
In Table Tennis, good start for Indian men in the team event. They have defeated UAE 3-0.

The Indian team of Rajat Chauhan, Aman Saini and Abhishek Verma are through to the semi-final with a 227-226 win over Philipinnes.
They will take on Chinese Taipei in the final-over clash later today.

That's it, PV Sindhu wins the third game 21-14 to win the match against Thailand's Nitchaon Jindapol.
She joins Saina Nehwal in the semis!

Both Sheeraz Sheikh and Angad Vir Singh fail to qualify for the final. While Sheeraz finishes 13th with 120 points, Angad is at the 14th spot with 119 points.
Archery - Compound Women's Team Event
The Indian team of Muskan, Madhumita and Jyoti storm into the final with 225-222 win over Chinese Taipei.
India will face South Korea in the gold medal clash on August 28, Tuesday.

After Saina Nehwal's spectacular win on Sunday, she will take on World No. 1 Tai Tzu Ying of Taiwan in the semi-final tomorrow.
