Parts of Karnataka have been hit by drought, making water supply scarce and like humans, wildlife is suffering too.
A video has now come to light showing a 12-foot cobra in Kaiga village in Karnataka being offered water by people in the village. In the video, a police man is pictured pouring water over the snake's head and then giving it water directly from a water bottle.
Another man is seen holding the cobra's tail in case things take a nasty turn.
Reports say the snake was later taken to an animal rescue centre.
