The Indian Hitman's ton on Sunday was definitely not one of his most flamboyant piece of work but it was definitely one of the toughest ones on a slow pitch.
Indian opener Rohit Sharma was class once again for the 'Men In Blue' brigade as he shamed his way his 25th ODI century at Edgbaston in Birmingham against England in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.
The Indian Hitman's ton on Sunday was definitely not one of his most flamboyant piece of work but it was definitely one of the toughest ones on a slow pitch. Rohit took his time to settle in, also built an important 100-run partnership with skipper Virat Kohli. On a chase of 338 to win, India got off to a bad start as they lost Rahul for a duck.
This was Rohit Sharma's third ton in the ongoing World Cup 2019. He's been in excellent form for India.
On the chase, Rohit's 102, Kohli's 66 and Pandya's 45 weren't enough to see off India to their 7th straight victory at the World Cup 2019.
This is what people on Twitter had to say about Rohit's Ton against England:
1. Need Rohit Sharma to anchor till the end
All of Rohit Sharma’s innings so far have been so unlike him. He has not been timing it the way he does.
