2/19

Early strike for Kyle Jamieson and New Zealand. Mayank Agarwal's vows continue as he is dismissed on a single digit.

Jamieson set him up beautifully and the last delivery of his over was an outswinger. It was full and seamed back just a little.

Agarwal's feet went nowhere and kept his wicket exposed and a big gap between bat-and-pad as he plays all around it.

Agarwal b Jamieson 1(3)

3. Virat Kohli dismissed cheaply again

Virat Kohli dismissed cheaply again
3/19

Excellent catch from Jamieson. Bennett nets the big fish as Kohli get out.

The Indian skipper did not look in his element. This was short and deserved to be put away and Kohli frees his arms and looks to crunch it over point.

It wasn't in any control as there was some extra bounce and he ends up placing it towards the third man.

Kohli c Jamieson b Bennett 9(12) [6s-1]

4. Prithvi Shaw run-out for 39

Prithvi Shaw Run Out!!

After completing 1 run the second was a suicidal run from Shaw. He walks back dejected and India slip further. Bennett strays down leg and Shaw helps it along the way to fine leg, de Grandhomme gets around and sends in a flat throw to Latham who lights up the stumps.

Shaw put in the dive but he was still a yard short.

Prithvi Shaw run out (de Grandhomme/Latham) 40(42) [4s-3 6s-2]

Good innings comes to an end as Shreyas Iyer departs for 62
6/19

A good inning by Shreyas Iyer ends as he departs after de Grandhomme's freaky catch.

Neesham digs this short and gets it to rise sharply on a back-shuffling Shreyas Iyer, has to go for a flick or tuck from that height but Iyer didn't have the control.

Chips it off the soft leading edge and CDG dives full length to grab it to his left.

Shreyas Iyer c de Grandhomme b Neesham 62(63) [4s-9]

And KL reaches his hundred in style!!!

This man has been in form and one can never get tired of watching him play.

He takes the helmet off and raises the bat on reaching the milestone.

He is now the second Indian player to score a hundred in New Zealand batting at 5 or below. Suresh Raina held the record previously for his 110* vs Zimbabwe in Auckland in WC 2015.

9/19

Two wickets in two balls and two set Indian batsmen - KL Rahul and Manish Pandey - depart courtesy, Hamish Bennett.

This is the first instance since November 2009 that India have had 100 plus stand for both fourth & fifth wicket in an ODI and New Zealand will be happy breaking the partnership.

In the first, KL Rahul was just saved in the previous ball but hit the ball again in the same spot. Jamieson runs in from long-off, puts in the dive and swallows the ball.

Throws the white nut away in disappointment for the previous drop.

Rahul walked forward to this shortish slower delivery and flat-batted it. Nice innings from Rahul.

Rahul c Jamieson b Bennett 112(113) [4s-9 6s-2]

In the second, Manish Pandey tries to launch one over the rope and he doesn't get the distance.

Santner runs forward from long-on and takes a good diving catch. It was right in the slot but Pandey couldn't get the timing.

Manish Pandey c Santner b Bennett 42(48) [4s-2]

10. Shardul Thakur goes for 7

Shardul Thakur goes for 7

Hamish Bennett gets his fourth wicket. Thakur swings hard at this waist high full toss and got too much high on that.

CdG almost fumbled and the ball popped out, but he managed to clutch it on his chest.

11. 50 up for Martin Guptill

He's just taken 29 balls to reach the mark. He raises his bat and acknowledges the applause from the crowd.

Bowled!! And India needs more like these...

India finally have their breakthrough. Chahal produced one of the best balls in the series as Guptill was left clueless. The leg-break drifts across the right-hander and lands near the leg-stump, Guptill prods forward and closes the bat face thinking it will straight on, however, the ball spins past his willow and hits the top of off-stump.

Guptill b Chahal 66(46) [4s-6 6s-4]

13. 50 for Henry Nicholls

11th ODI fifty, 2nd of the series!

14. Kane Williamson goes for 22

Kane Williamson goes for 22
14/19

A soft dismissal for Williamson and a harmless half-tracker on middle and leg, he could have put it anywhere on the leg-side but instead, his cross-batted aerial whip finds Mayank at short mid-wicket.

A much-needed breakthrough for India. This partnership was threatening visitors. However, NZ are still well in front.

First six innings: 71, 77, 65, 60, 88, 64

15. Ross Taylor walks out for 12

Ross Taylor walks out for 12
15/19

Big wicket for India. Ross Taylor has been dismissed for the first time in the series. A lovely length and pace from Jaddu.

Slowed it up outside off and pitched in that nagging length area outside off, gets nice late dip and forces Taylor into a drive on the front foot.

Plays it uppishly and was a tad too early into the shot, catching practice for the Indian skipper at short cover. Ross Taylor c Kohli b Jadeja 12(18) [4s-1]

16. Henry Nicholls departs for 80

Henry Nicholls departs for 80
16/19

This was a needed wicket. Nicholls runs out of patience and India have a major breakthrough.

Shardul Thakur has his arms aloft as he bowled this slightly fuller and well wide of off-stump.

He got the delivery to skid across at 131ks and that hint of zip generated the bounce as Nicholls looked to slash it on the off-side.

A faint top-edge and Rahul doesn't make any mistake behind the stumps.

Henry Nicholls c Rahul b SN Thakur 80(103) [4s-9]

17. James Neesham goes for 19

James Neesham goes for 19
17/19

Neesham looks to slog the ball on the on-side and loads up with a high backlift.

The ball though comes at a much slower pace and dips just at the right time to mess with Neesham's timing.

It Skews off the toe-end and straight into the hands of the Indian skipper at mid-wicket.

Neesham c Kohli b Chahal 19(25) [4s-1 6s-1]
