The captain on several occasions has called Anushka his 'pillar of strength' especially as the two be in the spotlight 24/7.
"She has been a pillar of strength for me in that regard. Because she herself is at a level where she had to deal with a lot of that negativity. So she understands my situation and I understand her situation," the batsman said.
While they belong to different professions, their love and support for each other have been visible in the small and sweet gestures. Anushka Sharma was spotted in Dubai, cheering on for Kohli, who was captaining the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at IPL 2020.
In a navy blue outfit, Anushka was seen on the stands as she clapped and gave Virat Kohli flying kisses. Virat scored 90 runs in 52 balls and completed the innings with that. Her baby bump was well-hidden due to the dark colour of the outfit.

India had defeated Australia away from home to win the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in 2019. Virat Kohli became the first Asian captain to win a Test series in Australia. The Indian captain celebrated the moment with Anushka Sharma at the SCG.
Kohli was joined by his wife during the celebrations post-India's maiden Test series win in Australia. Anushka entered the ground along with family members of other Indian players and support staff after the post-match presentation. She was seen hugging Virat as the couple walked together.

Indian skipper, who was celebrating his second wedding anniversary saw him rain hell on the West Indies bowlers during the home side's third and final T20I match at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
India cruised to a 67-run victory and secure a 2-1 series win against the Windies. Virat played an unbeaten knock of 70 runs off 29 balls and during the post-match interview he dedicated it to Anushka.
At the end of his innings, he raised his bat and blew a kiss towards the stands in a celebratory gesture for his wife who was present at the stadium.
"It was a pretty special innings and also being our second wedding anniversary, it was a special gift. It was a special night and one of the best innings I have played," Virat said during the post-match presentation.

When Virat Kohli failed during India's previous tour of England in 2014, fans and media brutally blamed his then Anushka Sharma for indulging Kohli’s focus during the tour.
Things got worse when Kohli ended up with an average of less than 14 in five Tests and the touring party lost the series as well.
Four years later, when Kohli batted again in England in the whites, he took the tourists by storm as he took just one innings to surpass his total of the 2014 tour. He scored a gritty 149 to rescue India.
